Take control of your home entertainment system with the XPC500 from I.US. Made by the same folks who created the highly regarded Uvem media server, I.US' XPC500 takes on the same ideas as the Uvem but is a more user-friendly system to work with. The XPC500 is basically a Windows Vista based PC, equipped with the latest home cinema software & tools. The XPC500 even comes with a remote control just like a DVD player's remote. The I.US XPC500 is very compact-small and attractive enough to sit snugly in any AV rack. The black finish allows it to blend in with the rest of today’s modern AV equipment.
So you're probably asking, "what does it do"?. Well, as previously mentioned, it is a PC used mainly for home entertainment. Windows media centre will be used the majority of the time, allowing you to watch any of your favourite movies or listen to your favourite music, all stored onto the XPC500's hard drive. Software is included to allow you to rip your DVD movies or CD's onto the computer. Using the XPC500 is extremely easy, with almost all functions being controlled by the included remote control. With an Internet connection, you will be able to browse the net and automatically look up movie/CD info when storing media onto the hard drive. When stored, all of this will be easily accessible through Windows Media Centre. The I.US XPC500 will be your one box library for all things film and music! To add to the excitement, the XPC500 comes with a twin Freeview tuner, allowing you to watch and record all of your favourite TV programmes, again, storing them onto the hard drive, and all of this will be done so easily, you will forget that it is a computer! With a DVI output to allow you to send full HD images to your display device, the XPC500 is definitely future-proofed, and the optical output allows you to run audio into your AV receiver.
