Monitor Audio's gold dome tweeters are some of the best we have heard at this price level. The Series 100 C165-T2 comes with two of these, meaning you get a realistic top end with plenty of detail and clarity. But don't think that the C165-T2 speaker can't rumble, it features Monitor Audio's MMPII bass driver (a 6.5" cone to be more specific) to deliver low end frequencies, and when combined with the 2 tweeters, a fantastic sound is created with a wide variety of frequencies, detail and the added convenience of the C165 being an in-ceiling speaker so it will hide away well. The mounting system on all of the speakers in the Series 100 and 200 allows for 25% less time to install than the previous incarnation thanks to a smooth clamping mechanism and a large clamping surface area. The Series 100 and 200 speakers-including the C165-T2-are splash and humidity resistant, which assures you can enjoy the C165-T2 for many years to come.
