The energy efficient design has allowed Onkyo to incorporate a pre and power amp into the 5VL. It produces less heat than a typical amplifier meaning only a small heat-sync is required, thus saving space.

Precision-crafted and tuned audiophile components combine to produce a rich, detailed and faithful sound. The A-5VL stereo amplifier makes use of Onkyo's exclusive VLSC technology to ensure a smooth, pulse noise-free signal during conversion from digital to analogue.
