Another year, another great series of products from Kef. We have had the IQ5SE's and 3005SE's which kicked things off nicely, each picking up a 5-star review in 'What HiFi?' Magazine. Here we have a new idea from Kef-the KIT 510 Instant Theatre. The KIT 510 comprises of a 'head unit' (which is basically the main control hub of the KIT 510). This acts as a CD/1080p Upscaling DVD Player, meaning you can watch all of your exsting DVD's in near HD quality. The powered subwoofer also works as the amplifier. Connected to this are the specially designed Kef 1005 'eggs' which look better than ever in their gloss black finish, silver finish is also available.

Kef call this the 'Instant Theatre' for a reason. All you have to do is connect the speakers, link the subwoofer to the head unit and run a video cable to the display device and you are pretty much ready to go! The Kef KIT510 is without a doubt one of the most user-friendly 5.1 systems we have come across in a long while.

It is quite surprising how powerful the KIT510 actually is and how easily it fills medium sized rooms. Speakers this small are generally better suited for small rooms but the KIT 510 has great authority for it's size and creates a realistic, convincing and exciting soundstage every time.
