Q Acoustics have done it again with their cinema pack, collecting a full 5 star review from "What Hi-Fi" with their new Q Acoustics 2000 surround sound package. Having moved the goal posts again with the 2000 5.1 package they have pushed speaker performance and quality in the process. With all new cabinets, re-designs on the 2000 surround sound speakers, a completely new subwoofer with a surprisingly big sound, the 2000 5.1 home cinema pack is everything a home cinema surround sound speaker package should be, and more.

The 2070S subwoofer has been transformed from the usual square box speaker in the corner of the room to a taller yet more slender design. The newly designed subwoofer now uses two paper/micra mix cones driver by two mono block power amplifiers each delivering 140w for added depth. The 2070 subwoofer packaged with the 2000 surround sound home theatre package, uses two rather clever drivers to create a larger woofer surface area, unlike it's predecessor the 1000Si. This helps the 2000 5.1 home cinema package control and produce much more bass and develop a wider frequency leading to a much more friendly and natural home entertainment experience.

The 2000C centre speaker is the main central speaker in the 2000 theatre pack which has had a completely new cabinet design giving the option to mount this centre speaker directly onto the wall with no danger to the binding posts.. The speakers in the 2000 home cinema package range have all been tweaked to improve the overall performance, particularly the high end frequencies, leading to a cleaner and more crisp sound. The 2000 theatre pack speakers have always boasted plenty of rythmic bite, the 2000C is no exception. A controlled midrange makes this ideally suited for home cinema.

The 2010 bookshelf speakers make up the front and rear surround sound speaker of the home theatre pack and have had a complete rework of the cabinet design. Coupled with an improved crossover, the 2010 bookshelf speakers present an open and wide sound stage with transparency and detail that makes music and movies a real treat. Having tested the 2010 bookshelf speakers in our demo room, it's easy to see why they picked up an award in What HiFi? magazine's awards issue 2009 for best stereo speaker under £150.

The 2000 cinema package truly is a new chapter in home cinema surround sound speaker performance.
