It was obvious from our first viwing that Sony had put a momumental amount of effort in to the VPL-VW95ES 3D high definition projector. Its ability to show every ounce of colour detail together with its fantastic graduations from black to grey really sets a new standard for a Sony projector.

In 2D the Sony VPL-VW95ES is simply outstanding, with few flaws. The movie picture feels like a special event with a truly gripping cinematic experience. You can see remarkable colours oozing onto the screen delivering a beautiful, cinematic movie image. This is also true with the amount of black to grey scales Sony have managed to extract from the VW95, setting new standards for home cinema projection.

The VPL-VW95ES has more than enough features and attributes when it comes to 3D and it can certainly show other projectors a thing or two. With enough lumens to blast through the active shutter 3D eyewear somehow Sony have kept this projector in complete check. There is no over saturating in any of the colours and there is no evidence of 'black crush'. You are left with an amazing sence of enjoyment, which all the family will enjoy.

Sony have reasserted themselves as one of the best 3D projector manufacturers by introducing the VPL-VW95ES. Sony are back in the projection market, as the VPL-VW95ES is certainly something to shout about!
